Back on Track

I'm writing again :D I've finally gotten past 12k! My big bang word count is now currently 12,587 and if it weren't for the fact that I have to go to school later I think I could keep writing all afternoon. I'm so, so relieved that I'm writing again.

I finished chapter one (I'm still writing it all out of order so that's actually an accomplishment!) and it's 5185 words which is a much better length than my chapters usually are. I would imagine that it'll end up longer than that as well when I go through and expand certain scenes etc. Chapter two is at 4,005 words and then chapter four (the last chapter, I think) is at 3,397. I still need to start chapter three - there's a lot of stuff happening in that chapter, though so I think I want to try and get chapter two written first.

I still need to think of a decent title, though. I hate thinking of titles because I'm always rubbish at it!

But yeah, I'm feeling a fresh wave of excitement about this fic now which is GREAT.

And you know what else is great? Usually, I would be on my way to school for my first class now but I don't have to anymore because I don't do Lit anymore. *grins*

Seeing as I don't have anything else to do, I thought, go for it! I'm going to try really hard on these, I have a tendency to write a fic and pump it out the same day, but with these I'm going to dedicate some genuine time and effort. There are two injury fics, one prompt which basically says Sam has spent the day cleaning the apartment and Dean is coming home after two months at hospital (it's going to be kinda AU/post-hunting domestic!fic), and the the other is basically prompting Dean learning to walk after a back injury. The last one was really short, just saying Dean's palms are bruised - I was thinking drunk!fic and Sammy looking after his swaying, dirty drunk big brother.

So excited!

I need to just get dressed and then I'm going to the shop. I need supplies for tea and my stomach has been rumbling since 7am. LJ just sucks me in, it's scary.

I'm going to start getting some ideas written down later, I've got quite a while to work on it anyway. :D

Lj can be very distracting at times! I'm keeping a close eye on the time because I've got a class at 1.50 and I don't want to forget about it.

It'll be fun 'cause next year you can moan to me about University stress and I'll be all "I know, I know... just go out and get drunk and it'll all be better". ;-) I don't imagine you drink much, do you?

1.50 is fast approaching! I'm going to pry myself away from the internet now though, and I'm leaving my phone at home when I go to the shops. I need to absorb myself in reality for at least half an hour! I am dreadful, Meg. I think rehab is on the horizon for me: LJ Addicts Anonymous.

It really is...I'm turning my laptop off any minute now and I'm going to get ready to leave - luckily, I only live about ten/fifteen minutes away so I don't have far to walk.

Lmao, I reckon that rehab group would get a whole lot of members!

I'm just back from the shops, bought carrot, swede and mushrooms for tea and a big salad and prawns for lunch. I'm just taking a few minutes on here then I have to tidy the bedroom -- I've bribed myself with lunch if I tidy up quickly. :D

Hehe, I'm just eating now. It didn't even take me that long to tidy, I just got caught up in LJ (as you do!). I have to prepare veg for tea, tidy the living room, empty the dishwasher... phew! So much to do! I'll just finish eating and then I'll get to it.
