Slash Fiction Episode Reaction

-The girl in the bank was called Megan! That’s pretty cool J And…now she’s probably going to die because I’ve said that! (Yep, I was right) It was very nice hearing Jensen say my name though.
-The opening! It’s scary just how plausible the situation kind of seemed to be; if Sam and Dean were going to rob a bank, some of what they would do would be very similar to that. Dean would flirt as a distraction, they’d use the hand signals that they’ve honed through years of hunting together. It’d be Sam who wasn’t quite as certain about what they were doing.
- I love just how many possibilities the leviathan storyline is creating. It’s been really interesting throughout the season so far and it’s allowed us to see the boys put in new situations. When there’s a monster like this that they don’t know how to deal with, when most of the people they go to for help are gone/unavailable, it makes for some really interesting, awesome viewing.
The new characters that we’ve met so far this season have been very strong, too. The witches last episode reinforced the idea that, sometimes, the boys can’t win. Amy acted as a way of showing us where Dean and Sam’s heads are at.
I like the mirror with Nightshifter, locking them all in the vault. And, omg, the shooting. The wink at the camera and then that! Wasn’t expecting it.
That’s kind of scary, Bobby can’t get answers with torture so Dean steps in. It brings up so many thoughts of Hell.
So many great one-liners in this one: ‘a Mensa monster’, ‘Busy morning, you two?’, the whole conversation that the doppelgangers had about Sam and Dean (hair, size, Dean liking hamburgers almost as much as sex, self-rightousness.) ‘We are coming to get us’…and everything else you can think of.
Frank Devereaux was very interesting; I liked the fact he was approaching from a slightly different angle to hunting. And I loved the whole ‘Bobby sent us… or not, who?’ bit – classic SPN.
Sam’s laptop! Dean’s Impala! Their Impala! I loved Dean’s face when he realised they were using his car and the whole ‘no-one puts baby in a corner’ because of course Dean knows that quote and of course it’s the car that bothers him. And the My Little Pony!
That whole scene with the song and Dean mouthing along and Sam being all awkward and then turning it off and it was just beautiful. Seriously, it was just so them and it was perfect and they should just do a whole episode of them singing in the Impala J
I love the fact they used the season one locations; it was very clever and it was also such a lovely homage to the season. <3
Lmao, Connor’s Diner. I love Dean <3 Of course he’d remember the places by the food.
Leviathan!Bobby was great – it was nice to get an insight into him. Oh, and we now know that the theories about him being the boss are wrong.
Oh, the two sets of ‘Winchesters’ meet (be still my beating heart!) Haha, Dean stealing the rims. And then the cops showed up and then Leviathan!Dean winked and I just melted.
Bobby kissed her! Awwww!!!!!! (And I loved him giving her the head later on – it was just perfect Bobby.)
The confrontations between Sam and L!Dean and L!Sam and Dean were really interesting. Also, ‘Sammy…not Sammy’, was just beautiful.
OMG, leviathan!Dean is awesome, as is leviathan!Sam, you almost forget that it’s Jared and Jensen. Also, they’re caught up in taking care of each other. THANK YOU, SHOW.
Crowley!!!!!!!!! Haha, with muffins! Gluten free, as well :)
Jensen looked gorgeous in that last scene outside. And that ending – it was just like the early seasons where we get a perfect brother episode and then a revelation at the end and please tell me Sam won’t stay away for long! (Somehow, I don’t think he will. I think this is just the initial shock.) Can I just say, Dean’s reaction at this point was so telling as well; he didn’t try to defend his actions at all, just said sorry.
So yeah, this episode was amazing. Every line was pitch perfect and the acting on the part of Jared, Jensen and Bobby was just amazing. They all played two characters in this episode absolutely perfectly.
We got a lot of interesting insights in this episode, too; more of Bobby’s back story, a view inside of the boys’ heads from an outsider P.O.V…
I can’t wait until next week!
