Jul. 24th, 2012 11:17 amFigured it was about time for another update so here goes.
- Things are as okay as they can be right now, I guess.Still sad, still angry, still not quite sure what to do a lot of the time but there are things keeping me going - my family (it's just me, my Grandma, Mum and my sister in the house now and we're all coping in our different ways I guess which means there's sometimes a bit of tension but mostly we're just hugging each other a lot), my friends on here (you know who you are), keeping myself busy with writing and things.
- We're going on holiday next month, spending a week in a cottage in Scotland in the Perthshire area. I'm looking forward to the break (though it's going to be a little strange having no internet). My Grandma's coming with us now - my Grandad's been so ill for so long that he and my Grandma haven't been able to go on holiday in years, and it's something they both used to love so much, so it's nice - if bittersweet - that my Grandma's going to be able to go on holiday again. It gives her something to look forward to, which is good.
- I'm posting my
spn_adambang fic before I go away. The minimum word count was 5k but I ended up writing 20k so I'll have to code all of that soon. I've loved taking part in this challenge though - the community has been so supportive and I've made friends and then I was lucky enough to get a lovely artist, too.
- I have a couple of other things already booked/planned for before the end of the year. In September,
ishilde and I are meant to be going to Edinburgh for the weekend, spending it with
inspired_looney and
whiskyinmind - I'm really looking forward to that. In late October, I'm going back to Edinburgh for the day to see American Idiot, the Broadway musical, which is doing a UK tour. And then on November 1st I'm going to Manchester to see Muse, first time I'll have seen them live. So yeah, things to look forward to.
- My hayfever is acting up. Either that or I'm getting a cold.
