Dec. 23rd, 2011 01:46 pmI can't believe it's Christmas Eve Eve already! This first week of my break has gone over so quickly - it's been nice, though, having a break from uni and spending some time with my family (even though I miss my uni friends like crazy - it's kind of scary how quickly they've become a big part of my life and it's strange not having them around!) Even just spending more time with Kizzie has been good - me and Melissa took her for a really lovely long walk yesterday and it just made me feel peaceful.
I don't think there's that much we need to do to prep for Christmas in the house - all of the presents are under the tree (there's more there than I thought there'd be this year!) All of the food shopping is done and the place is tidy enough where it's just going to need a few things put away this afternoon and it'll be ready.
In terms of the Christmas fics for you guys, though, there's no way I'm going to be ready on time :( I've posted a few already but I still have some left to write and I'll want some of them beta'd before I post them too. I feel really bad because I usually leave myself enough time to get them written but things have just been hectic this year and then when I've tried to write stuff over the last few days I've struggled. Rest assured, I'll be trying to get everything written as soon as I can, I just don't want to rush lots of fics out today and them not be good. That said, I am working on some stuff today so one or two things may get posted tonight or tomorrow, I hope!
I've started re-watching season four of Leverage from the start with my Mum and sister - they were going to wait until the DVD came out to watch it but it's going to be ages so we're watching them on my laptop instead. I'm looking forward to watching some of the earlier episodes again because I'm sure there's stuff I've forgotten!
By the way, do any of you know of any end of the year memes going around? Or, maybe more specifically, an end of the year fic round up type of meme?
