That Friday Feeling...
Sep. 25th, 2015 08:26 pmToday's been an odd day - lots of information and news to take in.
This morning I found out the information for my first placement; this is the school and year group I'll be working with on and off until February so it's a long time. I'm in with year 6 which is quite daunting as it's the oldest children and I don't have a lot of experience with that age. The more I think about it, though, it's a good thing I'm with them - it'll give me an opportunity to gain experience and step out of my comfort zone. The school I'm in seems lovely from their website as well, and I know one of the four other students placed in the same school very well so there'll be a familiar face around. I'm excited!
Most of the day at uni was spent watching everyone's presentations - and then it was my group's turn to give our own. I think it went okay - we were quite pushed for time because everyone had run over so we rattled through it a bit but I wasn't too nervous which was my main aim, really! But yes, there was a lot of listening today and sitting in the same room for ages so I'm quite glad it's now the weekend - especially as I didn't get much sleep last night.
Speaking of last night, A+T (two of my cousin's kids) started at our Brownies. It's going to be lovely getting to see them every week, and they seemed to have a great time. I met up with one of the other leaders/my friends beforehand as well at this new coffee shop that's opened up and it was lovely. The people were so, so friendly and the hot chocolate was amazing. It was good to chat with my friend, too!
Not got much planned for this weekend; I want to do some reading and go over some maths subject knowledge (because year sixes can be very clever!!) I'm also going to watch HTGAWM, H50 and Downton so I'll try and post my reactions/thoughts.

But there he was, perpetually shirtless in tight black jeans; strains of something moody and warm drawing Stiles forward as it filled the shadowy loft.
Warnings: a bit of swearing, a brief bit of gore (Teen Wolf style).

I didn't really make a conscious decision to let go of anything, but I didn't keep up with Doctor Who, Sleepy Hollow or Elementary. I might try and catch up with Doctor Who at some point but I don't think I'll go back to the other two - I liked them, but they didn't hold my attention or make me want to marathon them and that's very odd for me because I'm easily pleased!

I wanted to check out Scorpion and Gotham but didn't have the time. I was also going to check out Once Upon a Time (I've seen a few episodes but that's it), Castle and In The Flesh but... time!

Hm, I was quite disappointed with what Downton Abbey did with Thomas this last series (aside from the Christmas special because it was like we had season 1 Thomas again and it was wonderful). I didn't stick with Doctor Who, so I guess that didn't impress me much, either.

Not sure there is any - I'm pretty content with all of the shows I'm watching right now.

beacon_hills for Phase 8!beacon_hills is a land comm for the show Teen Wolf. There are two teams - Hunter and Werewolf - and we compete (in a friendly-like manner) against each other to earn points in challenges. Challenges can include anything from writing, graphics, puzzles, luck, team, etc, so there's something for everyone! You don't have to participate in every challenge.Phase 8 is just starting and will run up until the 11th October. Why not come and join us? It's always really fun taking part in a land comm as the show airs and it's a lovely way to make friends in the fandom.

Hi there! My name is Megan, I'm 21 and I'm from the north of the UK. I'm currently at university studying English Literature and History. Once I'm finished with my undergrad degree, I'm hoping to go on to do a degree in primary school teaching (ages 5-11). I live with my mum, little sister (who isn't so little anymore!) and my two golden retrievers, Kizzie and Luna.
I've been active in fandom for a good few years now. Whether it's writing or reading fic, admiring graphics, or taking part in land comms and discussion posts - I just love it!

Some of my Teen Wolf favourites
Favourite Character - Isaac Lahey:
Picking a favourite Teen Wolf character is actually something I find very hard to do - there are so many awesome characters (Lydia, Stiles, Scott, Chris Argent, Derek, Erica, Melissa, Sheriff Stilinski... I could go on). There's just something about Isaac, though - he's a survivor, he can be funny, he can be vulnerable, he struggles sometimes but still remains loyal. Of course, the fact he's extremely handsome also helps!
