I spoke too soon

So, I spoke too soon. My Grandad isn't coming home today; not sure why yet - my mum's at the hospital now - but we think it's something to do with his blood b/c of the tables that he's on. He'll definitely be home soon, though, so I'm trying not to be too disappointed.
How are you guys today? There's a few of you that I haven't heard from in ages and a few more that haven't posted in what seems like forever. I really hope you're all okay and I'd love to hear from you. Not sure if you're even reading this, really :/ I'm going to PM a few of you later to catch up.
I keep getting too distracted by writing fic. The thing is, I love writing, I need to write to meet the challenge deadlines but I keep doing it before doing my work for school. So, if any of you see me on AIM/Twitter and I'm talking about writing, please check that I've done my homework first XD
My English Literature remark came back today. It hasn't changed. I'm not really upset because I had a good mark anyway. I'd have been more upset if I had really been counting on it but in the end, a B is good and I might manage to get the A on my resit. I'm just glad that I wasn't on a lower grade to start with - someone in my History class had a U (which is the lowest you can get), had it remarked and it went down by 8 marks!
I'm using the icon that I'm using for no other reason than that I love it. It's by the amazing morgentau . It actually sums up how I feel about S6 Dean so far.
I've just finished reading 'My Family and Other Animals' by Gerald Durrell (for about the 12th time.) It really is one of my favourite ever books - it's so funny and clever and heartwarming, especially to someone who loves Greece. I'm recommending it to all of you right now XD Have any of you read it?
We're reading 'The Remains of the Day' in lit at the moment; I've already read it and I quite like it.
I'm in a reading kind of mood at the moment. Any recommendations? Preferably around the theme of 'Love' because our course is 'Love Through the Ages' and I've got to find a third text to write about alongside TROTD and 'Measure for Measure.'
Wow, this is kind of a rambly post.
