Today's been busy but it's been fun as well (for the most part.) I got up early and went into school for a meeting with one of my teachers except that she ended up cancelling just after I got there which was, you know, annoying because I could have slept for an extra hour. Anyway, I tried to make the most of it so I went to go and do some work in the library before my next lesson. I actually managed to get quite a lot of work done, although I couldn't find the shelf with the history books on it which:

a)Tells me that I need to use the school library more often. I think I've been in to work in it maybe three times this year. The thing is, I do work during my frees but I usually either come home or just work in the common room (very Harry Potter, I know)

b) Tells me that I'm pretty hopeless at looking for things

c) Tells me that the library mustn't be very well organised.

History was interesting - we went totally off topic and ended up talking about EMA and I got totally annoyed because of the flippancy that certain people showed. I really felt like turning around and saying "It's alright you saying that it should go, you've got money." But yeah, I'm not going to dwell on that right now.

I got the mock exam that we did in English back and I got an A in both questions so that bodes well for the exam on Monday! And then comes the fun part :)

Mum and I went into town and had some Tapas for lunch. It was really, really delicious and, among other things, we had some patatas bravas and this baked aubergine dish that was so lovely! We talked a lot over lunch and it was really nice to spend time together, just the two of us.

Once we'd eated, we did some shopping (didn't really get anything interesting, just some batteries and food) and then headed to the library. And now I have a confession to make.

I don't really like libraries. I know, I know - for someone who loves books that's kind of weird. I don't really know why, I think I just like having my own copy to keep. But, because of coursework research etc I thought it would be a good idea to get a card and get a few books out of the library to read. So, a few things happened:

1) We bumped into K and D which was nice :) I'd already seen K at school today but I hadn't seen D so, yeah, it was cool.

2)I wasn't impressed at all. Sure, the library had fancy computers and wi-fi and stuff BUT it had none of the books that I needed. I just don't see what the point of all of the technology is if they can't have books in stock, especially when they're books that are linked to exams etc.

So yeah, we reserved a couple of books and then came home. And you know, at the start of this post I said I've had a fun day and I have, despite how much I've seemed to complain in this post!

It's my last exam on Monday! I can't wait for them to be over until the summer. I'll still be around this weekend but if I'm kind of quiet then you'll know I'm busy revising :)

Anyway, time for the letter meme:

Letter Meme Day Nine - Someone you wish you could meet.

Hi Great-Grandad,

We never met but I've heard a whole lot about you and I think it sounds like you were a really great guy. I know that Mum misses you and she talks about you a lot. There's so much I don't know about you - like what name/age you gave when you signed up to fight even though you were only seventeen, or where you've put your war medals, and the secret ingredient to the broth you used to make! Yeah, I think you would have been an awesome great-grandad.

Lots of love and hugs,

Megan
