That is really shitty, mean and awful of your auntie and that part of the family. The fact that they must have known it for years and lied to you about it is making it hurt more. You definitly don't deserve this. You three have so much future ahead and now that's almost blown away.
The rental firm should indeed have given a warning way before now. It's so unfair. Isn't there any possibility that your Mum can also look for a lawyer? I don't know, but maybe it can help.
