How utterly cowardly and awful of your aunt and her family! Is that their way of thanking your mom for helping them out a few years back? *shakes head*
On the other hand, I'm very sure whoever your aunt rents her house from can't force your mom to pay that large an amount of money within only a week. I can't imagine this would be legal. They knew your aunt hasn't paid the rent for months, so there would have been more than enough time to let your mom know about that before such a large debt had accumulated. I'm sure a lawyer will find a way out of this situation.
