LL Preparations

You know when you're starting to get things ready to pack to go on holiday and you can't find anything you need? Yeah, my day's going like that so far :) I spent a good forty minutes searching for my camera charger (luckily, I managed to find it so I can take lots of photos!) My sister and I sat and came up with some cd playlists for the car. We're going to be doing quite a lot of driving so we tried to include music that we all like to make it fair. There's a strange mix on there - everything from Muse to Christian Kane to the Plain White T's.
 
We're trying to get a lot of the jobs done this weekend because we leave next Saturday and it'll be awkward doing it all during the week while we're at school. When I get some spare time later I'm going to make a list of all of the fics I want to work on while I'm away - the change of scenery always helps and there's at one day when I'm staying in the cottage with Kizzie while Mum and my sister go to somewhere where dogs aren't allowed so it'll be a good chance for me to write. I know for a fact I have some fics to write for morgentau and one for akintay . I also want to start on a long case fic that I've had planned out for a while.

I'm still not sure if I'll have internet while I'm away so I'll have to get all caught up when I get back :D I'm going to keep a diary when I'm there and I'll definitely post some photos and things for you all when I get home. It's supposed to be a really beautiful part of the country. I'm pretty excited now :D

There have been lots of parcels arriving over the last few days - birthday presents for me - so I'm looking forward to my birthday, too :) Not really sure what kind of things I'm getting (apart from my laptop and jacket which I know about.) I have no idea what K's giving me, but apparently he bought it months ago - I'm intrigued :)

Anyway, I'm going to go and look for some books to take with me now and then try and make the most of the good weather :)

Definitely take lots of pictures! *Hugs* I'm sure you'll have a fantastic time, and of course any opportunities to write are always good. My main holiday is two weeks in Devon in August and then we're going somewhere in may the week after my 22nd birthday as well. We were meant to be going abroad this year but the tour operators lost a contract with the villa we wanted. We decided on a converted barn with it's own fishing lake and woodlands in Devon instead - sounds better to me! There is guaranteed internet access too.
