Big Decisions

How's everyone doing? I was MIA yesterday and I feel like I've missed a lot of posts and stuff - not sure how I'm going to cope when I'm away for a week!

I've made a really big decision today. So, I've got to start applying for universities soon and for ages I wasn't sure what degree to take. I want to do a three year degree in a subject and then do a teaching course after that. I was really finding it hard to choose between subjects and I think I've found my solution.

Newcastle Uni do a Combined Honours degree and (hopefully) I'm going to take English Literature, History and Ancient History. I've looked at the course content etc and it just feels like the right thing to do for me. So I'm pretty excited about that now :D

However, A2 lessons started yesterday and now I have no idea what to do next year. I was going to drop French but now I'm thinking that I don't want to. But I'm not sure if I can cope with four subjects at A-level :s  *is confused*

Speaking of school, my history teacher is getting us to play Diplomacy in our lesson. Anyone ever played it? I'm kind of worried that I won't understand it.

I've watched the con videos now :) Basically, they make me happy!

And finally, I'm looking for some recs to help me get in the mood for one of my story prompts. So, I'm looking for some Dean/Cas fics that are more light-hearted/domestic/shcmoopy. Any recs will be treasured and cared for :)

choosing school degrees is always tough hun. I know something about it...
but it's cool that you found one that you like.

as for the rest, I don't really know much about all of that (A level courses etc). things here work a bit differently.... :P

Yeah, I'm pleased that I've found something I want to do. Now I just need to get the grades so that I can be accepted on the course!!

I went to Lincoln Uni for all the University stands today! My bf wants to go to Newcastle, and it's aaaaaaaaaages away!

I decided this weekend where and what course I want to take. I think. Mostly. LOL.

Yeah, I have one more year left in sixth form (which is like ages 17-18) and then I'm off to get my degree :D

That sounds like a really great plan! I've been doing the same thing lately. I've decided on the subject and degree I'm going for, but looking into programs is so overwhelming!

It is so, so overwhelming!! I'm just glad I know what I want to do now, it's such a relief. Just have to get the results to get accepted now!

Uni degrees are always hard. I knew what I wanted to do but my sister just based her on what subjects she chose.

Depending on your grades you could see if you could do four. You can always drop it later.

Choosing a degree (unless you really know what you want to do one day) is always pretty hard. I know tons of people who not only had no idea what to choose, but ended up switching major after a couple of semesters. So congrats on making a decision - I hope it ends up being just the right one :D
