Hey everyone :) How are you all doing?

It's been a few days since I've posted - I haven't been up to all that much apart from revising.

I posted my big bang, though! I'm feeling mostly positive about it - it got some really lovely comments (thanks again!) But you know when you've posted a story and then you look at it and think 'oh, I should have done that!' or 'man, that's a bit of a plot hole'? Yeah, that's what's happening with me. And I know there's nothing I can actually do about that now but it's bugging me a little bit.

I watched 'The Crooked E' last night (rented it so I could watch Christian Kane, of course) and I didn't think it would be my sort of thing but I ended up really liking it. Christian Kane was really fantastic in it and it got me thinking about how versatile an actor he actually is. He can do anything from serious drama roles like that to Eliot in Leverage to the type of character he was in Just Married and he does them all well. Anyway, there's my actor appreciation of the day :) Also, you know what else I love? The way his songs keep popping up in these films and shows he's in, too :)

My Leverage season 3 dvd still hasn't arrived - I'm hoping it'll be today and then I can watch some tonight but I reckon it'll probably get here more like next week. I'm really looking forward to watching it through again and seeing my Mum's and sister's reactions as they watch it for the first time - should be fun :D Also, it isn't long until season 4 now! Yay XD

So, erm, apparently spn_cinema is doing another round and I reckon I want to try and take part this time if I can. How did those of you who took part last time find it? And, eek, I'll need to think of a film to use. Hmmm. Any ideas?

I'm working on a few different fics at the moment - I think I'll probably do a round-up post soonish. Heads up, though. I have prompt fics left to write for trollmela (which I've started), pippii (which I've also started) and morgentau so they should be posted soonish.

One last thing and then I promise I'm done! Does anyone know of any other challenges coming up? (Apparently I'm becoming addicted.)

Hey everyone. How was/is your Sunday? Today has kind of been hectic for me! I'm going to to a bullet post.

Our TV broke. I have no idea why, it just went off and it won't come on again. We're going to get a new one because it's a very old tv anyway and if we paid to get it fixed it probably wouldn't last much longer. Anyway, tonight and probably tomorrow I'm without a tv and it's kind of weird not just being able to switch the news or whatever on.
My internet's also been stupid all day. Technology, I'm not impressed with you at the moment.
So, Jared got twitter. I guess he probably knows what he's getting into - I just hope the good experiences and the interaction with the nice fans outweighs any craxy experiences he might have. In related news, how cute is he! Posting a picture with the moose and having his profile pic be of Jensen and tweeting Misha and Seb and Chad.
School starts again tomorrow. I'm only there for a week and then, bar exams, I'm officially done. That's really scary. My exam is on Friday. That's even more scary.
I've pretty much written another big bang over the last few weeks. The Stanford fic is at over 17k now and there's still a lot more to go. Can't believe how long it's going to be.
Speaking of, big bang posting starts tomorrow! I am so, so excited and nervous about posting mine and excited to read all the fics and see all the art. I'm away away from the 5th-12th August so I'll have to catch up on things posted then when I get back but OMG, I'm excited!
The list of prompt fics I still have to write is looking better. I have fics for trollmela and pippii still to write (I'm getting to those soon, I promise) and about a million to write for morgentau ;) (I promise I'll get to those as soon as I can but because they're extras now I'm going to try and get the others done first.)
I wrote a bit more of thebigbangjob but I still haven't outlined it properly. I'm at about 2k now which is okay but I need to get working on it some more once I'm done with my history exam.

What news do you guys have?

Today's going to be a fresh start for me. Those of you who follow me on Twitter will have seen something about this already.

I've decided that I'm not going to let things stress me out. I'm just going to try anf focus on my exams for now and take everything else as it is. Living in a house with three generations and all of our added issues (illness, money) is always going to have it's problems but, in the end, we're family and we love each other. If it means I have to just let some things go, then that's what I'm going to do.

From now on, I'm going to try and approach things more positively and just except that things aren't always going to be perfect.

I went ahead and signed up for

thebigbangjob yesterday and then I went ahead and started writing some stuff for it. I have about 1.5k now :) Still no real plot but I guess I'll get there eventually!

I'm not going to be around as much over the next few weeks. I'm going to have to cut myself off a bit if I want to focus on revision so I'm sorry if I don't comment as much - I'll try to keep up during my breaks but I can't guarantee it.

Hey guys :) I'm about ready to talk about something other than the Supernatural season six finale now, although there's still lot's of thoughts going around in my head.

So, after that poll yesterday I've decided that I'm definitely going to take part in the Leverage challenge and I'm pretty certain that it's going to be a Nate/Eliot fic. I even have the start of a plot worked out and I think it should be interesting. I just hope that I manage to make it Leverage-ish enough. I should definitely have the time to write it once my exams are over with and I don't think getting to the 15,000 minimum should be too much of a problem.

Who is going to take part? A few of you mentioned that you were yesterday but I know there are a few more Leverage fans on here :)

Today I've been doing a little bit of writing. I'm sort of finding it hard to get into the right headspace to write after the finale but I'd told myself that I'd write today and go back to revising tomorrow so that's what I'm trying to do. I've been working on a bit of J2 schmoop for a prompt by

akintay and I'm going to try and work on some more of your prompts, too.

Oooh, I also updated my masterpost. There are 50 fics on there so I don't know whether any of you want to head over and check some out but I thought I'd point you over there in case you do :) It's strange because I don't feel like I've written all that much but I have. There's quite a range there, too: Sam/Dean, gen, J2, Jeff/Jensen, Dean/Cas, Alec/Eliot and things from other fandoms.

Time for me to go and see if I can finish off something else to add to it now :)

P.S. Does anyone feel like making an Eliot icon with the words 'Eliot said hi' on it? I'd love you forever and ever and am willing to offer fic in return :D

Are any of you going to take part in thebigbangjob? I know I've seen it mentioned in a couple of your journals but I'm not sure whether you all decided to go ahead with it.

I've just joined the community and I'm seriously, seriously considering signing up to write when the post opens up. The only thing holding me back is that I've only written a few Leverage fics in the past and they definitely haven't been long.

I have a vague idea of a pairing and a very vague scene in my mind but I have no plot whatsoever at the moment. I'm leaning towards writing a Nate/Eliot fic. And, yeah, I haven't even written for that pairing before so it's probably a slightly stupid idea. Apart from that, I think I'd go with gen or Alec/Eliot.

Hey :) How are you all doing? Anyone have any news I should know?

So, today has been quite productive so far and it isn't even lunch time yet here. I went into school for my one and only lesson of the day - only four of us turned up so my teacher just told us to spend the lesson doing coursework which worked out really well because I needed to talk to her about mine anyway. We spent the whole lesson talking about my investigation so it was really helpful. That said, I'm still over the wordcount so I still need to cut some stuff out AND add in the bits we talked about today. I'll honestly be so glad once this coursework is done! Anyway, I've come home and washed my hair and started making changes to my analysis.

My big bang is at 9200 words now...I just want to get to the 10k today and then I'll be halfway!!! *dances* I also had an awesome idea while I was walking home so I made a note of it on my phone. I love it when inspiration hits while I'm out and about :)

Other things that I have to do today:

-Start the media text. It's due in on the 10th and I haven't even started it yet. I want to have a draft ready to take in tomorrow because I'm not letting a rushed, awful media text drag my polished, awesome investigation down! (That said, it probably will because it is really going to be rushed.)

-Do more of the Lit coursework. I'm about 700 words into a 3000 word essay and I need to get a move on.

-Finish one of the prompt fics.

-Make some daffodil templates to use at Brownies tomorrow night.

I'm sure there's more than that but I can't remember right at the moment. Think I'll spend half an hour working on my big bang before lunch and then really work on the coursework afterwards. Wish me luck!!!
