• I go on holiday on Friday! I'll be away for a week without any internet/computer access so don't worry if you don't hear from me - I'm not ignoring you or anything, I just can't get online to talk. I'm really looking forward to the holiday, actually. The area and cottage where we're going both seem really lovely and it'll be nice to just relax, catch up on reading, go for walks and pub meals and visit the awesome book shop that's near the cottage. I'm going to try and get caught up on writing too - I'm going to need to do some leverage bb writing even though I was planning to get it done before I went because I just haven't made as much progress as I wanted to. Yeah, I'm quite worried about that!
   
• I went to the opticians the other day to get my eyes tested and it turns out I now sometimes need glasses. I only really need to wear them when I'm looking at things from far away so it'll basically just be in lectures at uni. Also, I have "very interesting" eyes. I have small optic nerves (hereditary - from my mum) and I also have some old scar tissue which my old opticians (I've just started at a new place) never noticed. He doesn't think it's anything to worry about so he just needs to check that it hasn't changed next year. My glasses should be ready on Tuesday so I'll try and post a photo.
   
• I had a bit of an argument on twitter with this girl I sort of know in RL. She was being so judgemental about people and it'd been building up for a while so I unfollowed and then she asked me why. I was really proud of the way I handled it though because I explained (intelligently, I think) the reasons why I'd unfollowed her, even though I still think she doesn't really understand. I feel better now tthat I've done it because every time she would tweet something like that I'd feel really uncomfortable because I knew it was horrible.
   
• We've been talking about possibly getting a puppy next summer :D It'll be another golden retriever, hopefully one that's actually related in some way to Kizzie. I know it's a while off yet and not even definite but I'm excited! It'll be so awesome to have a puppy around again and for Kizzie to have another dog to play with - it'll help get rid of some of her energy! We always said we wanted to get another one once Kizzie was a couple of years old so it looks like it'll be happening :D
   
• They're showing all the Harry Potter films on the tv at the moment, one every Saturday so we've been watching them in order which has been cool. Tonight is Azkaban which I haven't watched in ages so I'm looking forward to seeing it tonight. My sister and I were talking about all the different scenes that we would have liked to see in the movies that weren't included. Don't get me wrong, I love the films, I just think seeing some of the scenes we were talking about would be awesome. Some of the ones we mentioned were: the Weasley's going to the Dursleys', Dumbledore visiting Privet Drive, more about the whole Percy storyline, Sirius meeting H,H and R at Hogsmeade...there were more, too :D
   
• I finished The Two Towers! I'm reading The Return of the King now and then I'm done with the books and can start on the movies.
  
   

Hey everyone :) How are you all doing?

It's been a few days since I've posted - I haven't been up to all that much apart from revising.

I posted my big bang, though! I'm feeling mostly positive about it - it got some really lovely comments (thanks again!) But you know when you've posted a story and then you look at it and think 'oh, I should have done that!' or 'man, that's a bit of a plot hole'? Yeah, that's what's happening with me. And I know there's nothing I can actually do about that now but it's bugging me a little bit.

I watched 'The Crooked E' last night (rented it so I could watch Christian Kane, of course) and I didn't think it would be my sort of thing but I ended up really liking it. Christian Kane was really fantastic in it and it got me thinking about how versatile an actor he actually is. He can do anything from serious drama roles like that to Eliot in Leverage to the type of character he was in Just Married and he does them all well. Anyway, there's my actor appreciation of the day :) Also, you know what else I love? The way his songs keep popping up in these films and shows he's in, too :)

My Leverage season 3 dvd still hasn't arrived - I'm hoping it'll be today and then I can watch some tonight but I reckon it'll probably get here more like next week. I'm really looking forward to watching it through again and seeing my Mum's and sister's reactions as they watch it for the first time - should be fun :D Also, it isn't long until season 4 now! Yay XD

So, erm, apparently spn_cinema is doing another round and I reckon I want to try and take part this time if I can. How did those of you who took part last time find it? And, eek, I'll need to think of a film to use. Hmmm. Any ideas?

I'm working on a few different fics at the moment - I think I'll probably do a round-up post soonish. Heads up, though. I have prompt fics left to write for trollmela  (which I've started),  pippii  (which I've also started) and morgentau  so they should be posted soonish.

One last thing and then I promise I'm done! Does anyone know of any other challenges coming up? (Apparently I'm becoming addicted.)

How are you all today? I hope the weather where all of you are is as nice as it is here today. (Except that I just looked out of the window and there are black clouds in the sky - it's going to pour down again!)

So, the big bang reveals have been posted and I'm pleased to tell you that the artist I'm working with is tinkabell007 . I'm looking forward to getting to know her and to seeing the art :)

I managed to get roped into helping with our leavers yearbook today. I was asked to help in such a flattering way (seeing as you're a good writer....you've got time on your hand's because you're a good student) that I couldn't really say no. I don't know, I kind of wanted to help out anyway but I had decided not to because, actually, I don't really have time on my hands with revision and writing and doing my leadership qualification. Still, it might be fun. I just need to try and remember things that happened in Year 8 now so that I can write about them.

Eeek, and it just thundered.

My revision officially started today and I got a bit done - have more pencilled in to do later tonight. During my breaks, I've been working more on the J2 guitar fic - it's almost done now so is anyone willing to beta it for me? It's going to be NC-17, at least 4k but probably no longer than 5k and there are two sex scenes.

I'm almost at the end of 'The Fellowship of the Ring', as in, I have two chapters left to read. I'm still enjoying it, looking forward to reading the next one.

So, erm, my history teacher has broken his foot and won't be back at school for at least six weeks which takes us right up to our exams. Found this out yesterday, had a bit of a panic because the coursework is due in on Friday and then realised that I'm finished it anyway so it doesn't matter. It's kind of a bit rubbish because we're going to be getting taught by a different teacher who has never taught us so she won't know anything about how we work or which things certain people are best at. At least they're putting teaching in place for us, though. Most of us are going into the other history class which means my timetable is changing. There are certain pros and cons about this:

-My Monday morning off has been shortened.
-My Wednesday is all funny; I'll have lots of frees but not enough time to come home during them.
-My Thursday is even longer than it was to start with and begins an hour earlier - goodbye that lie in!

BUT

-My Tuesday double is now in the afternoon instead of first thing which means I don't have to get up as early AND
-I HAVE FRIDAYS OFF XD

In other news, we watched DH1 yesterday, I cried again, laughed, picked up certain parts that I hadn't noticed when I saw it at the cinema and, yeah, I still think it's awesome. The re-read of the series is going well, too - I'm about to start on POA which is one of my favourites (SIRIUS!!!!!!!!!!)

I went to the open day yesterday and was there all day. To be honest, I didn't really learn anything new and I would probably have been better off at school learning! Anyway, that took all day yesterday and then I was catching up on work last night so I ...

OMG. I just realised I've been sitting here with my hair up in a towel (I've just washed it) and the lights on so people can see in through the window. *looks daft*  *is daft*

... but yeah, I couldn't really come online properly last night. Then today I had lessons all day, a surprise test :(, and then I'm at Brownies tonight. At least we break up for the week tomorrow! Once I'm done typing this up I need to go and print out the stuff that I've prepared to do with the Brownies tonight.

There's no news on the thing I'm trying not to think too much about (especially when I'm not locking this post!) There's been a lot of waiting around for people to get in touch and, yeah, not thinking about it because there isn't anything I can do right at this moment. 

Oooh, K told me that I looked nice today :D That actually really made my day. *is sad* (And now the post is getting f-locked because he totally knows my username!) But yeah, I was a bit more dressed up than usual today and he commented on that fact twice. 

mysticwaters , I'm going to try and get that prompt fill written as soon as I can (hopefully before it closes!) 

I'm also going to try and get some more of my big bang written tonight and get the beta-reading done for you, trollmela .

Wow. I've addressed quite a few different people in this post. And I've also been totally random. Sorry for that :)

Today's been busy but it's been fun as well (for the most part.) I got up early and went into school for a meeting with one of my teachers except that she ended up cancelling just after I got there which was, you know, annoying because I could have slept for an extra hour. Anyway, I tried to make the most of it so I went to go and do some work in the library before my next lesson. I actually managed to get quite a lot of work done, although I couldn't find the shelf with the history books on it which:

a)Tells me that I need to use the school library more often. I think I've been in to work in it maybe three times this year. The thing is, I do work during my frees but I usually either come home or just work in the common room (very Harry Potter, I know)

b) Tells me that I'm pretty hopeless at looking for things

c) Tells me that the library mustn't be very well organised.

 

It's my last exam on Monday! I can't wait for them to be over until the summer. I'll still be around this weekend but if I'm kind of quiet then you'll know I'm busy revising :)
